An Improved Method Sync Engine for QuickBooks Desktop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you may know, Method is the CRM industry leader for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.method.me\/crm-quickbooks\/\">QuickBooks integration<\/a>. Our two-way sync with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online is something we&#8217;re pretty proud of. When QuickBooks syncs with your CRM, your business runs more efficiently \u2014 saving you time, money, and&nbsp;headaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With that in mind, we&#8217;re excited to announce the release of a <strong>new Method Sync Engine for QuickBooks Desktop users<\/strong>. The new Sync Engine is available as&nbsp;of September 27, 2018. It offers an improved onboarding experience for new Method users, plus an improved sync experience for existing users \u2014 good news all around!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-can-i-get-the-new-sync-engine\"><strong>How Can I Get the New Sync Engine?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All&nbsp;QuickBooks Desktop <a href=\"https:\/\/www.method.me\/\">Method<\/a> accounts created <strong>on or after August 30, 2018<\/strong>&nbsp;will automatically use the new Sync Engine. No further action is required for these accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For QuickBooks Desktop Method accounts created <strong>prior to August 30, 2018<\/strong>, you&#8217;ll have to&nbsp;uninstall your existing sync engine and install the new sync engine. Your Method and QuickBooks data will not be affected by this process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> After September 30th, 2026, Intuit will no longer sell QuickBooks Desktop (except Enterprise versions) to new U.S. subscribers. If you\u2019re currently using QuickBooks Desktop, this will have no impact on your experience. Method\u2019s integration with QuickBooks Desktop will also remain unaffected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-has-changed-in-the-new-sync-engine\"><strong>What Has Changed in the New Sync Engine?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An overview of the new Method Sync Engine is provided below. For more information,&nbsp;see the full release notes&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.method.me\/cs\/blogs\/releasenotes\/archive\/2018\/08\/28\/method-updates-aug-30th-2018.aspx\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">A new pop-up screen has been added to improve the user experience during the initial setup of the Sync Engine [for new Method accounts only].<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.method.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/image3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3535 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 422px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 422\/293;\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">During the initial sync, QuickBooks data from the past 180 days (instead of 31 days) will be synced to Method [for new Method accounts only].<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The Sync Engine will display a more detailed sync status, including a timestamp of sync completion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">A new pop-up screen offers the ability to queue a sync while a sync is already in progress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.method.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/image2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3536 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 497px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 497\/166;\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Users can now access the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.method.me\/\">Method<\/a> Help Center directly from the sync engine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.method.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/image1-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3538 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 476px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 476\/469;\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">And the biggest improvement of all: Method no longer archives your transactions! This means that regardless of what you set your sync date range to be, Method will no longer remove transactions that fall outside this range. So go ahead and set your sync to the last 7 days \u2014 you&#8217;ll keep your historical transactions in Method, and your full syncs will finish in a fraction of the time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And that just about covers it! For&nbsp;existing users: we hope the new Sync Engine makes your Method experience even better.
